Known in private life as Gideon Alorgbey – DJ Sly The Unstoppable is a successful Disc Jockey and powerful brand to reckon with when it comes to music and entertainment in Ghana, Africa. The professional Disc Jockey spins different genre of music from Afro Beats, Hip Hop, RNB, House, Funky House Music, and Dancehall, etc. His ability to trill and entertain different type of audience across the globe makes Him unique. He started pursuing his dream of being a DJ at age 19.

The former in house radio DJ on Ghana’s first youth radio station, X 95.1 FM from 2010 to 2014 is also an artiste/DJ.

Whiles in high school, Ada Senior High Technical School, DJ Sly got his mum to believe in his passion for DJing but has to keep a promise to pursue his education and follow his dreams.

In high school, he studied General Arts and after passing with distinction, gained admission into the Accra Technical University where he read Marketing.

To polish his craft in TV & Radio Presenting and DJing, DJ Sly took courses in Radio and TV Broadcasting whiles he was confident of getting hired by urban media establishments.

He eventually got his first stinct with XFM in Accra initially as a technician but got his first opportunity to be on air when he had to sit in for another DJ who couldn’t report for work. After discovering his untapped potentials, management made him a permanent host of a new show he hosted on Saturdays to talk about issues that made headlines and also outdoor the Top 10 Ghana Songs of the Week.

Through this, he eventually gained the heart of young listeners who adjudged him as one of the best radio DJs in the city.

Not satisfied with being on radio and locked in a little booth where he couldn’t interact with his fans directly, he started scouting for other opportunities to become a Club or Event DJ where he can get the chance to interact with his fans directly.

This move till date has given him the platform to perform at top events in Ghana and internationally such us , Afro Nation, Ashaiman To The World, Ghana Jamaica-Culture music festival, Jack Daniels Music Fest, University of Ghana SRC Artiste Night, Promise land , the Return concert, Shay concert, VVIP Sallah Fest, The Mask Party, DJ Sly in Cotonou, Runway Ghana International showcase, Lome Hot Sunmer Mix, GDA beach party in Ghana, DJ DJ Sly Sege Fest, Haasto Homowo Concert, etc.

In 2015, DJ Sly launched his first project, a dancehall rhythm titled “Turn Up Rhythmz” which featured BET Award winner artiste, Stonebwoy.

In 2016, DJ Sly got signed by leading Pan-African entertainment TV Show, WatsUp TV as their official DJ and host of Video Fusion which featured mixing music videos from across the world with emphasis on African content. With his creativity and consistency, his show made waves which got featured on several TV platforms on DSTV & Canal+ including GhOne TV, TV7 & Max TV.

DJ sly earned his awards nomination at the Ghana DJ Awards as the Best Video DJ, Best Mixtape DJ and Best Greater Accra DJ. He was awarded Student favorite Event DJ of the year( CBaze Awards 2018), Best DJ of the year (YME Music Awards 2018), Best Event DJ (Ghana DJ Awards 2019) Youth DJ of the year(Youth Excellence Awards 2019),Students favorite DJ of the year (CBaze Awards 2019) and Best DJ Video (3rd TV Music Video Awards 2019).

DJ Sly is officially signed with US based firm JMK Publicist/Firm. He started his own record label known as UDS Music.

Also in 2017, DJ Sly launched another milestone in his career by releasing his first single which has gone to earn him collaborations with top musicians from across Africa producing consistent hit songs for his followers. He then went ahead to start production on his own DJ Album.Some popular music arts DJ Sly has worked with include: Ice Prince (Nigeria), Stonebwoy (Ghana), Skales (Nigeria) , El (Ghana), Daphne (Cameroon), Teni (Nigeria), Dammy Krane (Nigeria), Scientific (Liberia), Flowking Stone (Ghana), Tinny (Ghana), Article Wan (Ghana), Dopenation(Ghana), Miyaki (Ghana) and VVIP (Ghana).

In December 2018, DJ Sly made history by pulling over 30,000 fans to his first signature concert dubbed the Unstoppable Mall Day Concert hosted at the West Hills Mall. The event was attended by other top flight DJs & Musicians in Ghana.
